Motifs, version (S)

The first question is quite simple: what motivates the body’s movements?
Through a process of choreographic and musical weaving together and un-weaving, Pierre Pontvianne seizes upon different motivating creative agents, as concrete as they are impalpable: immediate intuition, shifting forces, collision, infinity and the music of the moment. He does not aim to master the different elements, but rather remain sensitive to their alignment in each present moment. It is from this place that he feels the dance may be composed.

In a crescendo that couples strength with delicateness, Motifs – performed by Marthe Krummenacher and Paul Girard – exposes two bodies joined impossibly together with their hands.
