While I was reading Georges Didi-Huberman’s book ‘Sentir le grisou’, I came upon this sentence: There is no better subterfuge for catastrophes than the seeming normality of passing time. This will be the starting point for là-SEXTET. The action will take place within the density of the instant. Dissemination, passages, reminiscence… contamination. Wave after wave after wave…Then time. Then a fracture.
In this choreographic work, the substance acts like a virus, instilling something ineluctable within us. A continual tension emanates from the fusion of gestures that slide one into another. The movement unfolds in a dilated temporal interstice. An object of dissemination, a tidal wave that seizes us, a musical tsunami that submerges us… là-SEXTET captures our attention and we find ourselves petrified, as if caught in a shock wave.
