Erritu
About
Erritu is a vital journey that goes through individual and collective ceremonies in order to explore the different states of life in relation to nature and the community.
In Erritu, many ceremonies act as bridges in order to discover the meaning of the connections between our individual existence - loaded with past, present and future promises - and the ritualised collective experience, always referential but also in movement and change. Choreographed by Sharon Fridman, spirituality, tenderness and personal decision go hand in hand with a journey that, in the end, is collective but influenced by the trajectories of the most conscious journeys.

“Erritu is a vital journey through different states of life, individuality and collectivity intertwined with love and anguish. Solitude cleverly shapes the body of each one of its excellent dancers.”
“Erritu has the beauty and richness of Basque folklore. The agility of his jumps similar to those of classical dance, those slender and elevated entrechats, which here, together with elements of contemporary dance, create a harmonious symphony between tradition and modernity.”
“A montage of extreme religiosity in which the songs of the Cor de Noies make the scene become a sacred act, a primitive or sophisticated ritual according to the feelings of each moment.”
